Create Waves of Impact with Step Into Swim This Giving Season

This season of giving, join the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) and Step Into Swim in support of our mission to end childhood drowning and create more swimmers by providing free or reduced cost swim lessons to children in underserved communities. Every child deserves access to lifesaving swim education.

Each year, thousands of families are devastated by the loss of a child or a loved one to drowning. But we can do something to prevent future heartache because we know that learning to swim saves lives. While drowning is the leading cause of death among children ages 1 to 4, learning to swim from a qualified instructor can reduce the risk of drowning by 88% for that same age group.

Every dollar donated to Step Into Swim directly funds our grants to learn-to-swim programs across the country. Grant recipients include community organizations, parks and rec departments, YMCAs, Boys & Girls Clubs, and qualified swim schools. Since 2012, Step Into Swim has provided swim lessons to more than 300,000 children – and counting!
